Handmade jacket from pure Bhutanese Yathra wool. Each piece is unique and exists only once.

Vijra’ or ‘Dorje’ is the symbol of indestructibility and is considered one of the most powerful signs of the gods.

In Bhutanese textile art, patterns & colours are influenced by nature. The four elements of the earth, Sa (earth), Chu (water), Mai (fire) and Lung (air) serve as inspiration for the hand-woven yathras. Tradition says that using the natural colours would bring safety from natural disasters. To protect oneself from this, one has to create a balance with the elements of nature – this is the belief in the traditional textile art.

Hand-woven jacket made of 100% Yathra wool (yak & cotton mix) with an inner lining of pure raw silk. Our handmade unique pieces are made in a traditional way by our artist Tschering in Timphu, Bhutan.

Thanks to the unique craftsmanship, natural materials and uniqueness of design, our ‘Vijra’ Yathra Jacket is a work of art for eternity.
