‘Mountain’ Pima Cotton Knitted Slipover

135,00

The belief in diverse lives represented in a silky soft, vegetable dyed & hand knitted sweater.

According to Incan beliefs, the mountains are the seat of ancestral spirits: they control the fertility of livestock, fields and even the weather. They also rule over raw materials and wild animals. At the same time, the mountain spirits were seen as protectors and worshipped with offerings.

Our 100% Pima Cotton slipover has been dyed in an original and natural way from native Andean plants. Tara beans give our knitted jumper a warm cream hue, eucalyptus a calming green, molle, the Peruvian peppertree, a summery pink and achiote a pleasant orange.

Thanks to its exceptional softness, shimmering shine and durability, Pima Cotton is often referred to as “the finest cotton in the world” and “the silk of South America”.
