‘Bhutadamara’ Mudra, the protective gesture to ward off negative energies, depicted in a double-sided woven artwork made of 100% cashmere in cooperation with bestselling author Suse Kaloff.
Mudras are symbolic hand gestures that play a major role in Hinduism and Buddhism in particular, and are highly significant in Mongolian art. The Bhutadamara Mudra woven into the heart of our cashmere shawl gives you protection, warmth and security.
The words are taken from the song The Power Of Love by Frankie Goes To Hollywood. It was released in October 1984 on the album ‘Welcome to the Pleasuredome’: “This sentence is also a quote on the first page of my book ‘Fear is not for cowards’. Why? Because I’ve had it in my head for almost 40 years whenever I need a protective mantra: I’ll protect you from the hooded claw, keep the vampires from your door.” – Suse Kaloff
Naturally in harmony with Mother Nature, our cashmere triangle shawls are made from sustainably produced and certified cashmere from Khentii Province (Sustainable Fiber Alliance & Oeko-Tex) in the natural original colors in Ulaanbaatar, in family cooperatives by our artists Selenge, Tsatsa and Haja.
Thanks to the special tradition, natural materials and uniqueness of design, our Bhutadamara cashmere triangle scarf is a work of art for eternity.
