The Alliance, an initiative of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), aims to effectively advance not only the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement, but also the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the same time. According to Federal Development Minister Dr. Müller, this requires the commitment of companies, institutions and private individuals to accelerate the necessary reduction of greenhouse gases and a global development towards “more sustainability”.
Since November 2018, several hundred partners have already joined the alliance. They are all united in actively promoting or implementing concepts of high-quality CO₂ compensation in developing and emerging countries.

The promotion of international climate protection requires a well thought-out and transparent supply chain all the way to the consumers of ACHIY fashion. Transparency, i.e. permanent traceability, of compliance with and promotion of the SDGs, is a constant challenge that ACHIY is happy to take on. Lennard Pietz, founder of ACHIY: “The developments towards sustainable solutions in all areas of international business are rapid. There is hardly any excuse anymore that CO₂ reduction is not possible in the supply chain stages. At ACHIY, for example, we use reusable packaging that can be used for at least 20 order cycles from our warehouse to our customers* and back. For us, achieving the climate goals and the SDGs are not in conflict with our economic goals. On the contrary, they make ACHIY possible.
